Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Spellchain handles data when you use the app.
Simple Summary
Spellchain stores game progress locally on your device. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or account login. The app may use Google AdMob to show ads suitable for a general audience (rated up to PG), and AdMob may process limited technical data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and compliance.
About the App
Spellchain is an offline-first word puzzle game. The app can be used without creating an account or signing in.
Data Stored on Your Device
Spellchain stores some game data locally on your device, including:
- Coins, streaks, best scores, and score stats
- Daily challenge completion history
- Unfinished game session data for resume
- Local app settings and progress preferences
This data is stored using app storage on your device. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
Personal Data
Spellchain does not require account sign-in.
We do not ask you to provide:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Account login details
However, third-party advertising providers such as Google AdMob may process limited technical data as explained in the Advertising section.
Advertising
Spellchain may use Google AdMob to show ads, including rewarded ads.
The app is intended for a general audience. Here is what that means for the ads you see:
- We ask Google to show only ads that are suitable for a general audience — around a PG level, with nothing mature or adult.
- The app is not aimed at or directed to children, so we do not apply special child-only ad handling.
- Whether ads are personalized depends on your consent choices, where consent is required (see below).
AdMob and its partners may process limited technical data such as:
- Device information
- Advertising ID or similar device/ad identifiers, where available and permitted
- Approximate location
- Ad interaction data
- App activity related to ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention
This data may be used to show ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and support advertising compliance.
Where consent is required (for example, in the European Economic Area and the UK), whether ads are personalized depends on the choices you make in the consent message described below. If you grant consent, ads may be personalized; if you decline, ads are non-personalized. In regions where consent is not required, ads may be personalized by default.

Consent for Ads
For users in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, and Switzerland, Spellchain uses Google's User Messaging Platform to show a consent or privacy message before loading ads where required. Your choice is stored on your device and can be reviewed or changed at any time from the Privacy screen in the app.
The app is configured for general-audience ad content (rated up to PG). Ad personalization follows your consent choice where consent is required.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
Limited technical data may be processed by third-party advertising providers for:
- Ad delivery
- Ad measurement
- Fraud prevention
- Advertising compliance
Analytics and Crash Reporting
Spellchain does not currently use analytics or crash reporting tools.

Device Permissions
Spellchain does not request access to sensitive device features such as:

- Camera or microphone
- Phone or SMS capabilities
On Android, the app includes the advertising identifier permission for AdMob ad delivery.
Children
Spellchain is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
For ad requests, the app does not apply child-directed treatment and limits ad content to a maximum rating of PG, as described above.
We will only change these settings if the app target audience, product design, legal requirements, or store policy requirements change.
